What to Look For in a 3D Printer
If you are looking for a 3D printer, here are some things to keep in mind.
- Avoid laser cut wood frames. They are primarily used in kits because they are very cheap to laser cut, but wood can flex or swell or break easily.
- Avoid threaded rods. They compromise accuracy and speed.
- Think long term. Avoid systems that are just the ‘latest flavor’ and will be obsolete in six months.
